Sonja Theisen joined the Lloyd Companies Board of Directors in 2023 and serves on the Audit and Compensation Committees. She currently serves as Chief Financial Officer, and EVP Risk and Operations at Emprise Bank, bringing deep experience in financial leadership, governance, and risk management.
Her background includes senior executive roles within the banking industry, where she has led complex financial operations and supported organizations through growth, regulatory oversight, and organizational change. Earlier in her career, she held leadership roles in finance, governance, risk, and compliance at Pathward®, N.A., as well as finance and audit roles at Great Western Bank and public accounting firms Eide Bailly, LLC and KPMG, LLC.
Sonja is actively involved in nonprofit and community leadership, serving as a board member of the LifeScape Foundation.
She earned her bachelor’s degree in accounting and her master’s degree in public accounting from the University of South Dakota and is a Certified Public Accountant.
