The Lloyd Family

It all began in 1972, when a young couple, Craig and Pat Lloyd, moved to Sioux Falls, S.D. to manage apartments for Craig’s uncle, Bob Lloyd.   

In time, Craig and Pat’s dream evolved into Lloyd Companies — a real estate company where people are the foundation. Instead of focusing on sales and size, the Lloyds extended their family values of quality, integrity, and relationships to their business.   

Craig and Pat were so proud to be a family company that they began to consider their employees, vendors, customers, clients, and residents a part of their family, too.   

The Lloyds have applied this humble approach to their work for nearly 50 years, propelling Lloyd Companies from a lone multifamily property to what it is today — a full-service development, real estate, construction, property management, hospitality and apartment company with a portfolio of over 6,000 apartment units and many of the region’s finest office and retail centers.

Headquartered in Sioux Falls, Lloyd Companies continues to be an agent of progress and change in its home city, around South Dakota, and throughout the Midwest.
