Longtime developer and general contractor Mike Tennyson has helped shape the landscape of western South Dakota through his multiple businesses and successful ventures. Aa a life-long resident of Custer County, he and his various companies have developed and constructed more than 530 homes, 2,150 apartment units and more than 235,000 square feet of commercial and institutional projects. His commercial work has included hotel/motels, hospitals, clinics, office buildings, banks and retail centers. Mike currently focuses on development, hospitality and ranching.

He joined the Lloyd Companies board in 2010, building on a long history of community involvement. He has served on the board of Northwest Engineering Inc. and currently sits on the board of Black Hills Area Community Foundation and serves on the advisory board of First Interstate Bank. Mike also is a former member of the Custer School Board, including 11 years as president and former chairman of the Custer County airport board and has extensively served his industry through multiple homebuilding boards and associations, including as a local and state president and national representative.
