Alexis Mahlen

Taking big ideas and making them happen motivates Alexis Mahlen. As a licensed South Dakota Real Estate Broker, she is responsible for developing and negotiating the selling, leasing, and marketing of commercial real estate properties for clients. By focusing on marketing strategies, researching real estate trends and statistics, and fostering new and expanded business opportunities, Alexis effectively promotes the Sioux Falls area and other South Dakota communities to a diverse range of prospective business users.

Alexis’ career began as an appraiser at her family’s real estate appraising firm in Spearfish. Since 2014, Alexis has proudly served as an ambassador for Lloyd Companies, one of the most recognized and respected full-service real estate firms in the Sioux Falls area. As a commercial real estate broker, Alexis has devoted her career to serving clients ranging from Main Street small businesses to Wall Street corporations, including McDonald’s and Starbucks. She continuously enhances her professional experience through research, negotiation, and consultation, focusing on adding value to people, projects, businesses, and the community.

Alexis’ strong commitment to community involvement has led her to actively participate in several professional and philanthropic organizations. Additionally, Alexis and her husband are the co-founders and co-hosts of the podcast Behind the Business | Founders in the 605.

Alexis is passionate about fostering meaningful connections that fuel growth and innovation. Whether she’s negotiating deals, mentoring others, or spotlighting South Dakota founders through her podcast, Alexis is deeply committed to shaping a thriving business landscape in the region.

Alexis’ favorite form of entertainment and source of joy is her family, especially her sons Jack and Miles. When she isn’t busy chasing toddlers, her list of personal passions is lengthy. Traveling, biking, golfing, tennis, dining, reading, and enjoying time with family and friends top the list.
