Looking To Lease? You Can Tour More Than 40 Apartment Communities In 1 Day
If you’re looking for a new apartment this spring, you’re likely in luck.
Thanks to lots of new and exciting developments, the days of struggling to find a place to move hopefully are over — if you plan ahead.
“The good news is that there are more options available this year for renters!” said Ashley Lipp, vice president of residential property management for Lloyd Companies.
“However, leasing activity is strong. We broke a leasing record in March and will be close to breaking that record in April. So while there are options now, things are filling up fast, and I would recommend filling out an application as soon as you find something you like.”
The good news is you likely can find that perfect next home in one day at this weekend’s Parade of Apartments from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.
There will be more than 40 apartment, town home and loft communities ready and waiting for you to tour — so we also got some advice from the experts.
Plan your route
With available apartments throughout Sioux Falls, start your search by determining your preferred area of town, Lipp suggests.
“And make your route accordingly,” she said.
“It can be a lot traveling from east to west and north to south. However, if you aren’t sure, maybe pick out one property on each side of town to tour that day and explore each neighborhood afterwards. Whatever you’re not able to get to on Saturday, our leasing agents would be happy to show you at a later date.”
There are multiple options in all four quadrants of the city, plus downtown, but here are some suggestions as you narrow down the possibilities.
Downtown
There’s nothing like downtown living — and there has never been a place like this. The District Lofts will offer residents the chance to live right next to Falls Park, connected to the River Greenway and all the exciting activity underway at The Steel District.
“Our model loft will be finished for the Parade of Apartments, so it is a great opportunity to come and check out the floor plans, the finishes and amenities,” Lipp said.
East side
There are so many great options for east-side living that it’s hard to narrow down, but one you might not have heard about is a brand-new community called The Current.
“This is a cool, new town home community at Dawley Farm Village with floor plans that are brand-new for us and unlike anything offered in Sioux Falls,” Lipp said. “You’ll find everything from studios to two-bedrooms with a den, and we even have three-story town home floor plans with attached garages.”
West side
Again, there are plenty of choices if you love the west side, but if you appreciate a cool clubhouse, don’t miss checking out The Boundary.
“It has a unique vibe to it, and I think it’s one of the best clubhouses we’ve ever done,” Lipp said. “It’s two stories and offers a lot of space to hang out, with high-end amenities.”
A ‘Pink’ parade
One more thing to know: Not only could you find your next home soon, but you also could score a memorable concert experience to go with it.
Anyone who rents with Lloyd. this week will be entered for a chance to win tickets to this fall’s Pink concert at the Denny Sanford Premier Center.
Plus, apply for a home during the parade and be entered to win a $100, $250 or $500 Visa gift card. Additional special offers might be offered during the event, so make sure to ask the property manager.
Can’t make it to the Parade of Apartments in person? There will be online virtual tours throughout the day too.
