For Ninth Consecutive Year, Lloyd Companies Named Among 50 Best Places To Work
When it comes to creating an outstanding place to work, Lloyd Companies is proud to deliver a winning formula.
We’re once again among the top 50 places to work in the region according to Prairie Business, which uses employee nominations to determine its ranking.
Factors such as workplace culture, opportunities for employee growth, teamwork and individual responsibility, and employee morale are considered in naming the top 50.
Prairie Business received more than 1,500 nominations for the award.
“This is a fun edition to work on as we read about so many excellent companies in our region,” Prairie Business Editor Carrie McDermott said. “It’s great to see the many companies who have been here before, but also exciting to see some new names on the list. This goes to show that there definitely are some outstanding companies in our region as well as passionate employees who are proud to work there.”
This marks the ninth consecutive year that Lloyd Companies has been named to the list.
“This is the kind of recognition that truly is invaluable because it reflects what our team experiences working here,” Lloyd CEO Chris Thorkelson said.
“When we first made the list, we had fewer than 100 people on our team. Now, we have more than 350, so not only maintaining but evolving and strengthening our company culture as we grow has been a top priority and continuing to make this list shows we’re delivering on it.”
That approach is reflected in the Prairie Business recognition.
“How organizations treat their employees, clients and business partners goes a long way in describing the culture of a business,” the publication wrote in releasing its 2023 list.
“When people feel appreciated and valued, it shows in their job performance. So does how a company helps its employees grow, the offerings it provides for a healthy work-life balance, and the benefits it offers – all important factors in the success and well-being of a company and its employees; things that make employees want to stay long term.”
“Lloyd Companies has consistently strengthened its commitment to employees,” said Becky Word, Chief of Staff.
“From onboarding to ongoing training, outstanding benefits and broad employee appreciation, we know it all adds up and all makes a difference,” she said.
“We’re excited to focus even more on the employee experience as we bring many of our Sioux Falls team members under one roof at our new Steel District office headquarters.”
This year’s 50 Best are highlighted in the September issue of the magazine, also available as an e-edition at prairiebusinessmagazine.com.
Lloyd Companies congratulates all fellow South Dakota-based organizations making the list and those throughout the Midwest.
