Commercial Real Estate Represents Sioux Falls At ICSC RECon Event
Lloyd Companies’ commercial real estate team is in Las Vegas this week. They’re representing Sioux Falls at the International Council of Shopping Centers’ (ICSC) RECon event.
RECon is the global convention for the shopping center industry and provides networking, deal making and educational opportunities for real estate professionals from around the world. Our team is participating along with more than 36,000 other attendees who will meet retailers, discuss new or existing leases, view the latest industry products and services, and attend educational sessions.
In years past, RECon has been an incredible opportunity to introduce Sioux Falls and Lloyd Companies to national retailers and has been the impetus behind deals with several significant businesses including Duluth Trading Company and Burlington.
Our team is targeting a number of development and redevelopment sites in and around Sioux Falls with plans to add to the already blossoming retail and restaurant landscape.
One particular area that they will be focusing on is The Sanford Sports Complex. Sanford Health dreamt of building an iconic sports complex in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Their commitment to the health of the Dakotas and the surrounding region included a vision for a place that could provide opportunities and resources for everyone in the community by applying the science of healthcare to the arena of sports. Their dream culminated in the Sanford Sports Complex development.
Currently home to Sanford’s Pentagon and Fieldhouse, along with The Scheels Ice Plex and Huether Family Match Pointe, the sports facilities alone attract 1 million visitors to the site each year. The continued growth in Northwest Sioux Falls, brought about by expanding commercial parks, residential neighborhoods, and the University Center, will only increase the demand for shopping, dining and office space within the 162-acre development.
In the years to come, The Sanford Sports Complex will become a park-like setting with walking connections to shops, sports facilities and office suites. We will combine our vision to improve the quality of life for everyone around us by developing and building up communities, with Sanford Health’s vision to improve the human condition through exceptional care, innovation and discovery, and create a development that is one-of-a-kind and provides opportunities and resources to everyone in the Sioux Falls region.
