The location couldn’t have been much better. Beyond that, though, the downtown building that had been home to Western Surety needed a lot of work. But Lloyd Companies had a vision for the five-story landmark space at 9th Street and Phillips Avenue. And Eric McDonald shared it. Gutting the building required dealing with downtown’s space limitations and constant pedestrian traffic.
