“I am just amazed, first and foremost, with the forward-thinking they did to take all of the information we provided to them through our architect and complete the project as we envisioned. They’re always problem-solving and thinking things through – they have really solid leadership. They were amazing.”
Lloyd Companies served as the general contractor for a multi-year, multi-phase expansion of the St. Francis House in Sioux Falls. The St. Francis House is an ecumenical transitional housing program for the homeless offering hospitality, fellowship and support to those in need. The program provides guests shelter, food, case management and support. It also offers special services for reaching long-term goals including employment, independent housing, addiction recovery and money management.
The project was a new 30,673 square-foot building valued at approximately $6 million. It involved constructing 60 guest rooms with 120 beds, a large commercial kitchen and dining area, exercise room and office area, along with a basement for storing donated items.
