The Story

Project Size And Scope

American Bank & Trust’s south Sioux Falls branch is more than 15,000 square feet and $4.1 million. The wood-framed structure has pitched wood trusses with a mechanical well to conceal the rooftop unit. The exterior is mostly masonry with Hardie siding accents.

Timeline

Lloyd Construction began filling the site in December of 2019. The building was substantially completed and turned over in September of 2020. The project was turned over on schedule and Lloyd worked closely with the ownership group through the design and submittal process to make value engineering adjustments and stay well within budget.

Challenges

This project was building during the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic and encountered related shutdowns and delays with manufacturers and suppliers. Lloyd was able to stay ahead of it by pushing through buy-out and submittals quickly once design was complete in order to get products shipped as early as possible and work through delays during submittals.

Client Experience

“The overall experience was excellent working with Lloyd Companies. The biggest factor is the high level of communication we had with them throughout the project. No one had to guess where anyone else was at in the process, and it was just very seamless the whole time.

The building turned out even better than we were hoping for. We had a vision in mind and once it came to fruition, it exceeded our expectations because everything fit together and flowed so well throughout the building.”
