American Bank & Trust’s $4.1 million south Sioux Falls full-service branch is more than 15,000 square feet. The wood-framed structure has pitched wood trusses with a mechanical well to conceal the rooftop unit. The exterior is mostly masonry with Hardie siding accents. One of the main features of the building is the main lobby area, which is 26 feet tall with multiple suspended architectural beams and up-lighting that creates a daylight glow in the space. The building was substantially completed and turned over for furniture, fixtures and equipment in Sept. 2020. Lloyd Construction worked closely with the ownership group through the design and submittal process to make value engineering adjustments and stay well within budget.
