New Sister-Owned Pilates Studio Opens At The Cascade
Two sisters have brought a new fitness option to downtown Sioux Falls.
Co-owners Jade and Rane Stehly have opened Power Pilates along the boardwalk at The Cascade, 701 N. Phillips Ave.
“We want to cultivate a motivating space where everyone feels comfortable and inspired,” Jade Stehly said. “We are so happy with how the studio came together. We wanted a space that felt industrial yet inviting; a space that reflects the ‘power’ aspect of our workouts. The entire studio is bright and airy, which creates such a beautiful and motivating space. Now, we just can’t wait to fill it!”
Power Pilates offers nine reformers and an entire wall of Pilates accessories with weights, bands and balls.
“We have an amazing team of certified instructors who focus on alignment, breath, and strengthening,” Stehly said.
As they have put their new space together, the community at The Cascade has responded, with future clients peeking through the windows and requesting class schedules.
“We chose Cascade because we wanted to be in a community-centric area that is walkable to everything downtown. We wanted our clients to be able to grab a coffee next door or walk to dinner right after class. It’s about fitting wellness into the vibrant, downtown lifestyle. There is a real sense of excitement about having a fitness option within walking distance of where people are living and working,” Stehly said.
“Lloyd has been such an amazing help to us and we are so grateful, especially to Raquel Blount, for helping us bring our vision to life.”
Power Pilates will offer multiple classes daily including mornings, over the lunch hour and evenings. An open house will be held Feb. 21 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. to get a feel for the studio and enjoy free iced coffee and matcha lattes from The Source.
“Power Pilates is such a great addition to The Cascade,” said Raquel Blount, vice president of commercial real estate at Lloyd Companies, who leased the space. “It’s going to be a popular option for fitness for those who live and work in the downtown area and beyond, plus an incredible amenity for residents in this building and nearby lofts who are going to love having such a convenient option for a workout.”
The new business means only one space remains available on The Cascade’s boardwalk.
It’s 1,881 square feet and features an open floor plan with a show room, floor-to-ceiling windows for stunning natural light, restrooms, a storage room and a utility room with maintenance sink.
“It’s the chance to join a fantastic lineup of tenants at The Cascade, including food and beverage, retail and services,” Blount said. “Plus you’re right across the street from steady traffic at Jacobson Plaza and within an easy walk of residents, visitors and employees at The Steel District.”
