Lux North Now Open
Lloyd Companies’ newest apartment community, Lux North, is proving to be an instant hit.
The first residents move in this week – and the first building of 36 apartments is already entirely leased.
“It’s completely full,” Property Manager Emilie Harrold said. “We’re getting great feedback from residents on everything from the design to the layout and location.”
Located at 4500 W. 35th St. North, Lux North is west of Career Avenue and south of Benson Road near a large and growing number of jobs and schools.
“Our first residents are a really good combination of people brand new to Sioux Falls and people getting jobs in the area,” Harrold said. “The location is 15 minutes away from everything, but it feels almost more in the countryside and I think people like that because it’s not as busy over here.”
And then there’s the design. Lux North is unlike any other Lloyd community, with a West Coast-inspired nautical and artsy vibe you need to see to fully appreciate, she said.
“It’s very much where West Coast meets Sioux Falls. That’s how it feels. It’s very modern, but comfortable and inviting.”
The one, two and three-bedroom apartments are designed with dark grey woods, marble-like counters, light wood floors and dark carpet.
Apartments include patios or balconies, large closets and a full appliance package.
The clubhouse has nearly finished construction and includes a full gym with free weights, cardio equipment and a rowing machine. There’s space for gathering and getting to know your neighbors with a fireplace, television and full kitchen too.
An outdoor swimming pool is finishing construction and the courtyard will include an outdoor kitchen and fire pit.
“Residents are surprised by the value here too,” Harrold said. “Our rents definitely are competitive especially given the amenities included.”
Leasing hasn’t officially started for the next 36 apartments, which open in October, but there’s already a lot of interest.
“You’ll be able to apply soon, but we already have people contacting us who are very interested,” Harrold said.
Lux North will consist of six 36-apartment buildings when fully developed.
Harrold suggests touring soon to see a sample apartment; otherwise, you’ll have to wait until August when the next building is ready.
