Lloyd Companies Marks 11 Years On 50 Best Places To Work List
Lloyd Companies is celebrating a new milestone: More than a decade of being honored as a regional workplace leader.
For the 11th consecutive year, Lloyd has been named to the annual 50 Best Places to Work award, produced by regional business publication Prairie Business.
This year, more than 1,600 nominations were received from employees throughout Minnesota, North Dakota and South Dakota. Companies making the list were recognized for their workplace culture, growth opportunities, teamwork and morale.
“This year, you’ll see many familiar names – these companies continue to lead the way, showing the importance of company culture, advancement opportunities, flexibility and collaboration,” Prairie Business said in announcing the winners.
“You’ll also see some new names on the list, businesses that strive for excellence while creating a workplace that’s fulfilling for their employees.”
At Lloyd, “people often talk about how it feels like family here,” human resources director Tina Lemieux said.
“That sense of belonging comes from the way we celebrate wins together and rally around each other when things get tough. It’s not just about the work we do, it’s about knowing you have people in your corner who genuinely care.”
Employees often share that they value how approachable leadership is and how open the lines of communication feel, she added.
“They know their ideas are welcomed, their feedback matters, and their contributions make a difference. That kind of trust creates an environment where people want to bring their best every day. The teamwork and care for one another really set the tone, and it creates a culture where people feel proud to be a part of Lloyd.”
Lloyd Companies puts an intentional focus on leadership development and mentorship, providing a clear path for employees to grow. Teams are given the tools and autonomy they need to succeed, while collaboration is encouraged across developments.
“We focus on making sure people feel supported not just in their roles but in life outside of work too,” Lemieux said.
“That means investing in growth opportunities, offering flexibility, and creating space for connection. Our goal is for every employee to feel part of something meaningful and to have the opportunity to grow both personally and professionally.”
When Lloyd Companies first made the “Best Places to Work” list, there were fewer than 100 team members. They have now grown to more than 475 while continuing to achieve a high level of employee satisfaction.
“It means a lot to us because it shows that even as we grow, we haven’t lost what makes Lloyd special,” Lemieux said.
“Culture is something you have to nurture every day, and this recognition is a reminder that our people feel valued and engaged. It tells us we’re moving in the right direction while still staying true to the values we started with.”
As a growing company, Lloyd continually offers new opportunities to join the team. Currently, Lloyd is looking for new team members from entry-level to leadership positions.
“What we value most isn’t just skills but mindset. We look for people with a positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and a desire to collaborate,” Lemieux said.
“Our culture is built on support and teamwork, so we want team members who care about making an impact and growing together. If that sounds like you, Lloyd is a place where you can thrive.”
