Under Construction: Brookings Fire Department

Lloyd Construction is serving as general contractor for the City of Brookings’ new 11,600-square-foot main fire station at 203 Front Street. The block and steel-stud building will provide space for current volunteer fire department operations, including dedicated decontamination facilities, lockers and showers. Approximately 3,200 square feet of second-floor space is planned for future buildout if the department’s staffing needs change. The project has a 12-month proposed construction duration with a an estimated completion of spring 2027.
