Lloyd Companies Breaks Ground On Hilton Garden Inn

Lloyd Companies kicked off construction this week on a new Hilton Garden Inn in Cedar Rapids Iowa. Located on the city’s growing commercial northwest side, the 100-room property will offer upscale but affordable accommodations.

Lloyd Companies is serving as developer, general contractor and operator of the project. “We think a Hilton Garden Inn is an ideal fit for this market,” said Jennifer Seifert-Brenna, who leads Lloyd Hospitality, a division of Sioux Falls, S.D.-based Lloyd Companies.

“Whether they’re traveling for corporate or leisure purposes, guests love the amenities and services provided at this growing hotel brand. Hilton Garden Inns offer a modern feel with a bright design and a fantastic experience from digital check-in throughout the stay.”

Guest room amenities include fresh white duvets and crisp linens, a spacious work desk and an ergonomic desk chair, and an in-room “hospitality center” with a mini fridge, microwave and Keurig coffee maker.

The Hilton Garden Inn Cedar Rapids will include 3,700 square feet of meeting space and a full-service bar and restaurant. A 24-hour self-service retail shop will offer select food and beverages plus essential personal items. The property will also feature a pool and an on-site fitness center will include high-quality cardio and strength-training equipment.

It’s expected to open in the spring of 2021.
